Oh sooo many memories but the one that pops up in this one year anniversary of daddy going to sleep is another Germany one. That trip had such an impact on me, my mom and dad. It was literally life changing. The memory I want to share today is when we were at Lake Eisbee in Edelweiss. This was the most beautiful, clear lake we had ever seen. With the Bavarian alps as our daily background for this portion of the trip. Mommy, daddy and I had walked down to touch the water and dad sat on a rock. We were a bit hot and ready to go eat and relax at this point. A butterfly or schmetterling as they are called in German, landed on daddy’s arm. I grabbed my camera hoping to catch it before it flew away, well it didn’t leave for a good 20 min or so! It would start to fly off and come right back to his arm. Daddy would not move until that butterfly was ready to go. It was so sweet. We joked with him that it thought he was a flower because he was so sweet and full of sugar from all the sweets he loved to eat. I will attach the pics once I find them- we then became a bit obsessed with schmetterlings and every time I see one I think of my daddy and smile.
