Although I don’t have a picture to share, that doesn’t fade the memory of DeWayne in my mind. He was such a fun Dad to be around. When we would have sleep overs as kids he was always teasing us and there was always laughter. A strong Dad that you’d want on your side, tough but so kind and playful, that’s how I always saw him. Such a loving family he led, and their home always felt like home. He could endure sleep overs with countless tween girls, giggling and getting our feelings hurt, and scaring the living daylights out of us in the night a time or two. DeWayne, you will be remembered, and honored every day. May you be resting easy in the love and light of your family and those of us who were blessed enough to know you.
